After a flight to Kenya and then on to Zambia, we arrived in Ndola…but our luggage did not. Due to travel experience, all of us had packed extra clothing in our carry-on luggage, so it was a minor inconvenience. After purchasing our visas and going through customs, we were met by the Zambia J-Life Director David Mulonga and a J-Life volunteer, Elvis Mumba. Yes, his birth name is really Elvis, thank you very much. We were taken to an apartment on a retreat center in Ndola where we will spend our first night. After resting and then going to the grocery store to buy foodstuffs for the week, we went to David Mulonga’s home for the evening meal.
